The end of Ireland's 2003 Rugby World Cup campaign also brought the curtain down on the international career of one of the most dynamic forwards of the modern age. Keith was rated among the finest hookers in rugby and his talismanic leadership of his country means he will be revered among the legends of the game.
He scored 15 test match tries, a record for a hooker, including an unprecedented four in one game against the USA in 1999. He toured twice with the Lions, and was regarded as one of captain Martin Johnson's unofficial lieutenants. He's since been inducted to the International Rugby Hall of Fame.
